According to my Oura ring I did not get a decent nights rest. Apparently I had not enough total time asleep, limited REM sleep, and just overall shit rest. Thankfully the lack of sleep had no negative affect on my ride this morning.

Opted for a leisurely pace today, seeing as it is Saturday, a beautiful morning, and a meetup w/a buddy for some coffee at a local Starbucks alongside the river. Hence the craptastic stats this morning, which is absolutely okay every now and again.

Very nice mild temperature this morning with a slight breeze just enough to make the ride supremely comfortable. Interestingly I felt relatively decent today even though I kinda got shit for sleep. Almost opted outta the full 50k but since I was feeling motivated I rode the entire distance.

Called this ride “prelude to hell” simply because today is going to be a hellaciously busy work day. I am basically on non-stop calls today, so I wanted to get some kilometers logged and fresh air consumed on this lovely Thursday morning before an aptly named hell day kicks off.

Wednesday is hellaciously hot and humid, a first for 2021. There was almost no breeze for the first half of the ride, but a slight one on the return, providing some minimal comfort from the sharp rays raining down from the sun.

Unfortunately was only able to get a quick ride on the tarmac this morning due to a number of early meetings, coupled with some out-of-the-blue pain in my left knee.

Grabbed a quick Sunday morning ride before an early downpour commenced, but caught quite a bit of the preamble, getting a somewhat wet on the latter end of the short ride. It is utterly humid as fsck today and feels really nasty outside.

I could not be happier with the climate today. There was outstanding post-rain Saturday morning weather, perfect for a nice comfy ride, especially when I was feeling really motivated to ride ride and ride.
