Last night I was pretty exhausted after two days of non-stop meetings. I laid down on the couch after my final meeting and passed out. I was determined to ride this morning, and had already prepped the necessities. Despite the torrid Thursday heat, today turned out to be a really fun ride.

It was easy to wake-up and get out of bed this morning because the heat indoors was uncomfortable. I felt fine and was psyched to get out and ride. Even at this early hour it is usually bright outside, but today there was so much overcast it looked like hell

Hitting the tarmac on Sunday was an amazing experience. It felt satisfying to not only get outside and ride, but hanging out at Starbucks in the early morning hours, sipping coffee along the river was refreshing. Sadly, I was unable to ride today.

This morning I was determined to crawl out of bed on time and hit the tarmac for a metric half century. Had. To. Do. It! Seeing as I used a recovery day yesterday, it was imperative to hit the saddle and get some exercise.

Fiesta Friday finally arrived after a non-stop, action-packed, never-ending Thursday. Regrettably, yesterday turned into another shit show at work. Instead of being able to hit the sack at 9pm, I was on phone calls until after 11pm, finally laying my head on my pillow around 11:30pm.

Unlike yesterday, the weather forecast for today has rain noticeably absent. As the front door cut through the brisk morning air and shut behind me, the sky appeared to echo those sentiments. Today I will get a full 50k completed.

Prior to passing out in front of the television last night I quickly checked the weather forecast. According to Japan's premier site, the outlook was for a 40% chance of rain right when I want to ride. You never know what mood Mother Nature will have on any given day. How was today's ride?

I hit the sack last night with few intentions to awake at 4am and ride. Despite needing exercise, I opted to take a break and sleep late for a change. This was a great plan in theory, but all I could muster was an extra ninety minutes.
